One really large bag? No. Too heavy.
Two or three small bags? No. Too many.
What about carrying on an extra set of clothes each, just in case? Maybe.
We settled on a carry-on plus a medium-sized bag to check. So last night we were up at the mall selecting a new carry-on. Found a nice one. Thanks for all the discounts, Macy's.
We are traveling pretty lightly. We've stocked up on lightweight clothing that we can wash and hang to dry. We are taking about five shirts each. Don is taking three pairs of pants. The funny thing is he'll be wearing one pair; another will be in the carry-on; only one pair will be in the checked bag.
What all this means is you'll be seeing the same clothes over and over again in our photos. Oh, well. We aren't going to be what the photos are all about anyway.
